Eigenharp Status Lights


If you are having trouble getting your Eigenharp started, there are LEDs on the Base Station and Eigenharp to help you diagnose the problem.

Green Light on front of Base Station or Base Station Pro

The Base Station has found an Eigenharp Alpha or Tau and they are communicating properly.

Amber light on front of Base Station or Base Station Pro

The Base Station can not find an Eigenharp Alpha or Tau.

  • Check that the Eigenharp cable is pushed in properly.

  • Twist the metal ends of the Eigenharp cable clockwise to tighten, make sure they are tight as possible.

  • If you are using a Base Station Pro, check that you have plugged the Eigenharp cable in to the 'Instrument' socket and not the 'Extension' socket.

Green flashing light on the Eigenharp's keyboard

The Eigenharp and base station cannot find the EigenD software.

  • Check that the EigenD software is fully loaded.

  • Check that you have loaded the correct setup in to EigenD - 'Alpha 1', 'Alpha 2' or 'Alpha 3' for Eigenharp Alpha, 'Tau 1' for Eigenharp Tau.

  • Make sure your USB cable is fully plugged in.

  • Try a different USB cable.
