In Reason I'm having an issue with my MIDI in channels. In Reason I select Eigenlabs 1 and EIgenlabs 2 under advanced MIDI in Preferences and load up my Subtractors. The problem is when I press any key on the Eigenharp it activates every channel and not just channel 1-the channel Subtractor is configured to. I know this is using up resources because only some of the keys produce sound when pressed, which indicated to me that all those channels being activated can't be processed at the same time.

Hi,

Can you please provide more information, which Eigenharp instrument are you using, which version of EigenD, which setup, which operating system. Also, how do you use you setup (which instrument do you play), ...

Thanks,

Geert

Hey Geert,

I have a Tau, running EigenD 1.3.16-testing, Mac OS X version 10.6.5, Reason 3, and for the setup it was originally the Factory Tau setup with the 3 keygroup split. Alchemy and Piano on top, Drummer in the middle and then I switch between MIDI 1 and MIDI 2 on the bottom(Malestrom and Subtractor). Let me know if you need more information, thanks for you help Geert!

Can you go to the Window menu, select the Midi Convertor you're using, click on the Settings button at the top left. The 'Active midi channel' should be set to the channel you want. Is that the case?

So, was it set to the channel you wanted or was it set to poly? If it's set to one particular channel and you still get notes on other channels, we should investigate further.

Within the MIDI Converter 1 and 2 routing matrices, Channel was automatically set to poly. All I had to do was select "1" and "2"`under channels within the corresponding MIDI Converters.

I had another question you might know the answer to.

I have my breath pipe modulating the LFO's rate(Malestrom-in Reason connected to #110 CC Undefined) but when I stop blowing, the rate knob opens all the way. I wish for the rate knob to return where I initially have it set to. any ideas?

If you go to the midi routing matrix, you can click on the configuration and set 'return to origin' to have it go back. Hope this helps.
