I see I have forgotten to specifically mention Zebralette http://www.u-he.com/cms/Zebralette which is fun and free.

Hope you find something.

Awesome news is that we're spending a lot of time on performance optimizations, windows, backend infrastructure, ... Many things that will make EigenD more robust and better performing. Work like this is very laborious and time intensive though, but it's going well :-)

Have a nice weekend!

So no Alpha support for a few weeks yet then?

So, the next thing will be a new testing release and then onto 1.4.x??

@Mike, The testing branch is feature-frozen and we're finishing up some bug fixes as well as the documentation. It will then be promoted to stable.

The unstable 1.4 line will contain the performance optimizations, Windows support for Alpha and Tau and some other additional features like the strummer, multi-channel audio out, audio in ... and more. As usual, these will be gradually introduced during the 1.4 unstable life time, but we're planning on making it a short release to move our efforts to v2.0 completely as soon as possible.

Thanks for the info Geert - sounds like the chances of getting the Alpha working on Windows before my warranty expires is slim to none ;)

Thanks again,
Tene

I've just put up a 1.4.1-experimental release that has Alpha and Tau support for Windows.
You'll also need the 1.0.6 version of the device driver.

(We've decided to use 'experimental' instead of 'unstable' from now on.)

There is no headphone support as yet.

Cool stuff ! Just downloaded it and played it on windows!
It's quite 'experimental' as I've seen, I could not load a setup when the normal sound drivers (DX10) were selected, but it worked fine with the Asio4All drivers, which I was going to use anyway :)

This is working really well for me now - I am now very successfully using my Eigenharp Alpha with Cubase 6 on Windows 7 (directing the MIDI to Cubase 6 and using VSTis in there).

Got lots of fiddling around with configuration and MIDI routing etc but so far... REALLY GOOD :)

Also to say that EigenD Experimental 1.4.2 is running very nicely on Windows 7 ... the only thing that crashes occassionally is Stage when I'm exiting EigenD - apart from that, all is good!

On a complete aside ~ I seem to remember from back in the Pico days there was an Arturia plugin as well as CamelAudio ... is that one available for Alpha or are there any other decent free AU sounds people could recommend?

Merci bien!

K
