Hi guys - I have added some additional loops to the library folder - they show up in the browser but do not play - one of them is called 0001_808_KICK.aif
They are aif files and play fine in the OSX browser - any suggestions? Thanks, Garth

ps. I like the fact that the folders show in the loop browser

Must be a bug (already send a bug report), even tried on 1.1.24, and no go...

I thought you had to store your own content in the sub folder in the user's document folder, not in the library folder where the presets are stored?

I think i'm doing it correctly...
Factory Alpha Setups
Drop your Apple Loops (in .aif or .aiff format) into the ~/Library/Eigenlabs/Loop folder.

Hi Garth,

Are these loops Apple loops or straight AIFF audio files? In order to play in the Eigenharp's drummer the files need to contain transient markers. You can add these using the application Apple Loops Utility.

Let me know how you get on.

Thanks, Aaron for the info on the Apple Loops Utility and transient markers.
Everything working ok.
Think this info should be in the "Using Apple Loops within EigenD" wiki (using straight aiff audio files)

Again, Thanks !!

Hey garthpaine and keyman,

I'll check today to see if I can't make this more intuitive so that as long as the file format is usable, even if no transient markers are declared, it'll work as if the file has been saved with zero transient markers. It seems that some software generates aif files this way.

In the meantime, just opening the file in Apple Loops Utility and saving it again even without adding a transient marker, will make EigenD be able to use it.

I'll keep you posted.

Take care,

Geert

Hi, Geert
Thanks for you're attention on this issue...
Does the files in the drummer always loop? it seems even choosing "non-looping" (in Apple Loops Utility) have no effect.

regards
