Software: Selective sampler damping.

Thank you for ideas - I have had some preliminary discussions with our Software Design team and although not currently possible we will certainly look into in further.

I know the sampler instruments have this capability to damp a playing sample if the key is triggered again, but was wondering if this could be extended upon to work from one specific key to another? The use I had in mind was to map a set of drum samples to the percussion keys. but with the ability to set up an open hi-hat sound next to close hi-hat sound, such that the closed one will 'choke' the open one if it is triggered while the open one is playing.
