This would allow us to print them out and make chord charts and the like for ourselves. It would also allow us to put these online.

I'd prefer an editable format for this, so please not PDF. It think indeed that it would be a good idea to create chord charts. The main problem though is the scales they're for, but I suppose that as time goes by, people can create charts for their own favorite scales.
Yeah mainly, you can print them out and fill in notes for yourself.
I agree though editable format would be ideal. Whatever the graphic designer used (Illustrator whatever) I can convert to a variety of formats.
Chords are an obvious use but also notes on layouts. The Alpha setup is pretty complex and its' good to be able to jot down notes or documentation for yourself.
