This is an announcement that we've been able to extend the window for Alpha purchases for the proposed new build to the end of the month. You can now order a new Alpha up until the 31st of March 2014. Those of you on the Alpha build mailing list will already have a copy of this announcement in your mailbox. A big thankyou to all of you who have already ordered for consenting to the increased window.
I don't think we'll be able to extend the deadline again for a number of reasons. At present we do have quite a few orders but not yet enough to enable us to do a build, so if you do want an Eigenharp Alpha in your life, now is the time to think about it seriously. They are a remarkable instrument but they are hard to make. They involve a lot of state-of-the-art electronics coupled with a big dose of personal craftsmanship and we cannot embark on a new run without enough instruments to build as quite a few of the components (particularly the electronics) have to be commissioned in a minimum quantity. We'd really like to make another batch of these instruments, so if you have been considering the investment, this represents an opportunity to come together with others and make it real.
