General Discussion: Pico control of sound and light

Thanks guys!

The control for the lights varies from patch to patch. Sometimes each key turns a particular light on, like at the end of the second tune.

The robe washes do colour mixing with separate channels for CMY colours, so I often have them mapped to pressure/roll/yaw for some nice colour mixing.

I normally have strobe on the breath out, and the overall size of the shape that the lights are doing controlled by breath in, so that I can bring them to a stop for a moment.

large changes for the next part of the song are normally done with the foot controller.

The some original guitar versions are on my soundcloud, but no proper eigen recordings yet.

I used Eigenharp Pico for my masters dissertation. Thought you might be interested.

It's a 14 fixture rig of robe spots and washes if you're interested.

Cheers for the various tidbits required to get it all happening :)

Nice! Mixed meter - 2nd piece opened like a Zappa piece. Really nice to see the Pico being fully used. Also nice to see some EigenJazz. Not enough of that IMO.

Hah! Just heard the Tommy Bolin and Billy Cobin (right?) piece. Old school jazz rock. Nice!

I agree with carvingCode - a very nice piece; it reminds me a lot of bands like The Necks. Is there a download of the music anywhere?

How are the lights being controlled - is it somehow synced to the notes that you play, or do you have separate controls on the Pico to do this?

Top quality beards as well! :-)

Cheers,
Mark.
