Geert - Would this same procedure work for User Loops?

Is it possible to put AIFF loops outside the 'loops' directory? I'd like to move loops to a more central location where I could easily use them by DAWs as well as EigenD?

I know some applications allow setting up an alias of a directory for this purpose. I tried this awhile back, to no avail.

TIA

BTW: I'm asking specifically about user loops, but it would be nice if EigenD offered some user configuration, such as directory location of loops and setups, etc. This is pretty standard in most applications.

Hi Randy

Big changes are in the works for loops and recordings (for 2.1 in fact) and we'll add in some sort of configuration for loop directories onto the development wishlist. We've frozen our current feature set as we're quite a way into development but there may well be time in the 2.1 experimental phase, once we get a release out, to accomodate this, we'll see how it goes.

Hi Randy,

In the meantime, here's a detailed explanation I wrote for MacOSX users about moving the resource elsewhere, hope this helps:

John - I can wait for 2.1 to be able to move resources to configuable locations.

Thanks.
