Workbench: Feature Request: Save/copy Belcanto from tool tips

Most Recent

written by: alistair

Just for the record, the Workbench tooltips do not currently display the Belcanto phases used to make connections. They just show the names of the ports on the ends of a wire. This is basically the same as the Belcanto in most cases, but don't rely on it as a Belcanto tutor. There was a plan for the Workbench to be a kind of Belcanto tutor at one stage - generating the phases and sending them off as though they had been typed in the commmander. In the end we didn't go down that route though.

Workbench produces tool tips showing the underlying Belcanto used to create connections.

Adding an option to save as text or copy to clipboard this Belcanto would be useful to edit or create setups. Example: Let's say we wanted to create a setup with multiple audio units. We've set up one, including all of the pitch bend, yaw, breath, strip controller, etc. parameters. Saving the Belcanto with all of the connections would allow us to make small edits and then paste the Belcanto into EigenCommander or load it as a script.

I'm sure there's many other possible uses for this.

Hear hear.

Is anything being done about this?
