Most Recent

By the way ... in the videos what are the musicians wrapping the instrument cord around?

This was posted in another thread, but I thought it was important enough for it's own.

This site implies that Eigenharp will unveil another new instrument at NAMM:

Has anyone heard about this?

Hi Tony,

It's cool that you're starting a thread for this but I doubt that anyone from Eigenlabs will give any information. If they've been secretive about it until now, they're probably not going to say anything just one week before the potential announcement date.

It's nice to dream though and I think we've all been thinking about the Pico and Alpha being so extreme apart in price and target audience. Since the first announcement of these two, I instantly thought that something else would be coming in the future ... and John also mentioned in a video interview somewhere that they were indeed working on other products. Can't remember which one though.

Take care,

Geert

I wasn't expecting anyone from Eigenlabs to give any information here. I was just curious if any forum member heard any rumours about this, since that one site is the ONLY place that I've ever seen that, so the reliability is questionable.

The rumor-mill for these types of things these days is pretty accurate. For instance, everryone in the world knows Apple will announce a new "tablet" device at the end of January, even though Apple will not confirm or deny this nor release any info on this. :)

Well, I think it's either going to be a new instrument between the Pico and the Alpha, or more likely the availability of a Windows version. I hope it's BOTH!

Eigenharp just introduced the Tau, a midrange instrument that's a variation on the Alpha, but with fewer keys, a plainer finish, and $2,800.

That's all so far!

Still no pictures, eh? You'd think that SOMEONE that was there would have posted something by now. Oh well, I'll wait 'til the mornin'. :)

Found an image here:

Look at the back, behind the Alpha player. Looks like a blown up version of the Pico in terms of design.

Here's what I figured out in the meantime, with a picture and video:

Cool but, now I'm really 100% psyched that I got an alpha.

They've sharpened their presentation by using sounds that show off the sensitivity of the instrument better.

Good job.
