Thanks for the post. I saw that instrument in one of their videos and tried to hunt it down... It looked very cool!

Hey fellow electronic music pioneers.

Did anyone else catch Muse on Jonathan Ross on Friday night? For their first number, Undisclosed Desires, Matt Bellamy was playing a weird instrument, it had a neck like a guitar, but the body was a set of piano-style keys. I'm curious if anyone knows what it is?

What I'm most interested in is the neck of this instrument, it looked a bit like it was covered in Eigenharp type keys. If you didn't see it, the programme is still on iPlayer and Muse perform in the last ten minutes.

It was probably something custom built. Anyone have any guesses?

Thanks!

Googling "Muse Keytar" gave a link to wikipedia which has this to say: Matt Bellamy, the lead vocalist and guitarist/pianist of the UK rock band Muse plays a custom keytar. He has stated he would like to reinvent the keytar.
