Hi Geert,

We will be putting an example user scale file in the next release which you will be able to edit.

I have followed all of the steps provided in the FAQ's, but I am having trouble getting EigenD to recognize my scales. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Are they not showing up in the browser?

It works for me. Obvious things to check are that you are using software 1.0.4, have formatted, and named the file properly and put it in the right place. The FAQ initially didnt tell me what to call the file but once they fixed that detail, I followed the FAQ and it worked.

I am running the current software and I put the file in the scale manager and formatted it as a .txt file. It still will not show up in my browser. I am utterly confused.

Did you name the file to what the FAQ now says it should be called?

It would probably be helpful if Eigenlabs provided a custom scale file with the software so people can just tweak that and run less risk of getting the formatting or filename wrong.

I have followed everything in detail, but I am still having problems.

I agree with your statement about providing it with the software. It would leave less room for error.

Good suggestion, we'll put an example file in a future release. In the meantime if you have a problem, please call Aaron at customer support, he'll do his level best to help you sort it out.

I'm not able to get my custom scales to show up either. I followed the FAQ in detail.

I finally got it to work, seems that when I copy-paste from the FAQ entry it doesn't work. When I type it in manually it works. Maybe something related with text encoding or different spacing.
