Can you record and edit audio/MIDI in EigenD?

EigenD is at present a performance system and does not include features for editing and recording performance beyond those useful for live playing, such as recording takes on the fly and playing them back in a looped format.

The actual performance data cannot currently be recorded and edited in the way that MIDI can by, say, Logic. You can however use our MIDI gateway to record performances into your sequencer package such as Logic, and although this does lose some resolution in translation it can be a rewarding experience.

Although we have not tested it extensively, people seem to be running EigenD alongside Logic and Ableton Live quite satisfactorily, using CoreMIDI buses to communicate. Several people have had success using Jack to directly route audio as well.
